"I love adorable Donny
ReplyDeleteHe's cute as an apricot
I wish he were my president
Instead of the one I got
XXOOOO
I was a bit premature posting and have now added a whole Donny collage.
DeleteDonny doesn't like Trump and thinks he gives orange dwarves a bad name
And here we are again in January, just waiting for all that blooming glory to start all over again... Fab! Jx
ReplyDeleteit is amazing looking back and I am looking forward to what 2026 will bring. Roll on Spring.
DeleteThat is really neat to see. It really starts taking off in May, much like here.
ReplyDeleteThank you dear. it has become a useful tool for us both to look back and to look forward.
DeleteOur garden wakes up in April, starts to kick off in May and is full throttle in June. We have been focusing on colour for the end of the Season and I think we have made a good start.
I used to live in an upstairs flat like those that overlook your garden. But my view was weedy grass and one apple tree. Your neighbours are in paradise!
ReplyDeleteWe were in a similar situation at one time.
DeleteNo garden of our own and looked down from our upstairs flat onto a sadly overgrown garden. We wanted a garden so much so to look down from our window onto one so neglected was irksome in the least.
Ich freue mich, die Fotos Ihres Gartens im Laufe der Monate und Jahreszeiten zu sehen. Möge der Frühling Ihnen und Donny eine Fülle von Farbe bescheren.:)

Thank you my darling.
DeleteIt is only January but already but the garden is starting to stir with new growth emerging from the soil and stems. I love watching the garden slowly wake up from it's long winter sleep. Spring is still a long away off but Donny is busy clearing the Winter crud in preparation for it.
What a delightful idea marking the garden's progress during the year, sweetpea! We should try doing something like that now that the back garden has been redone. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt is fun isn't it but it is also a useful tool to remind you what was in flower and when. It is very helpful for planning for next year. You can see at a glance what worked and what didn't and if there are gaps that need filling.

I love how Jan, Feb, and March are like "Oh, look. A lovely, manageable little yard" then April is "Hang on a minute..." and, BOOMF! May! "I could get lost in here!"
ReplyDeleteI see you managed to pap Donny after he'd been left alone for too long in your Wine Time Corner (top right photo of the montage). I hope you didn't have too much clearing up to do after his "wobble"?
I love May, June and, BOOMF!
DeletePeople don't realise but Donny can be a bit of a handful to manage sometimes.
