The Delargo Gardens - June

Here we are me lovelies a little late again I'm afraid. June has been and gone and the garden is slowly catching up with itself despite some very unseasonable weather.

Rosa Gertrude Jekyll. My Birthday rose has flowered all month.

When it first opens it is the most intense pink which slowly changes to a lovely soft pink, the scent is extraordinary throughout. I love it !

The Thalictrum Aquilegifolium was still going strong at the beginning of the month
Our Jasmine puts on its buds in the Autumn, how they survived last Winter I have no idea
They have done us well and again the scent was wonderful.
Me better half loves Hesperis Matronalis. We didn't think we would have any this year.
In the Spring we found some seedlings come up in the top field, they didn't look like weeds so we let them be.
This was the result
I bought a jolly little 'Pink' in May it is looking and smelling lovely now.
Tradescantia
We have several hardy Geraniums but not many photos of them. This is Geranium pratense 'Purple Haze' below is Geranium 'Rozanne'.

Hemerocallis 'Crimson Pirate'  and Fox Gloves
 Martagon Lily 'Arabian Knight'
I bought these Nicotiana as bedding but they are not that, they are very tall indeed and are now covered in large scented flowers. Nicotiana Affinis is a very happy mistake.
Geranium Maderense is past it's flush but still going strong !
Our new Clematis however are now coming into their own
Clematis Comtesse de Bouchard and below is Clematis 'General Sikorski'
Our Dahlia flowers on or about the 1st of June every year but not this year, it did not flower until the end of the month.

New for us this year Salvia Verticulata Purple rain I love it and so do the bees
And also new to us this year Salvia nemorosa 'Rose Marvel'
We are a bit bonkers on Salvias, this is Salvia x jamensis 'Nachtvlinder'
With Salvia patens 'Patio Deep Blue'

The Salvias are just starting and there will be more in July and they will go on to flower till Autumn !
Along with our new rose we have rosa veilchenblau which normally flowers in May.
There we are then me darlings and onto a quick tour of our extensive grounds

Our Fuchsias were very slow to get going this year but they are kicking of big time now But you will have to wait for the end of year Fuchsia Fest to see them.

There tiz then me darlins. Hope you enjoyed your visit and that you pop back to see us in July

I will pop the kettle on when I see you coming (or brake out the Gin if you prefer)
