Welcome the annual Delargo Towers Fuchsia Festival 2025.
It has been an amazing year for our Fuchsias and many are still flowering their hearts out and looking fab as I type this
Fuchsias flower for such a long time, it is easy to take them
a bit for granted. They often don't make it onto the blog as I try to
show what has newly come into flower in each season.
To make up for this
every year we hold a 'Fuchsia Fest' this year we have 56 named varieties to view
So with out any further ado, I declare the 'Delargo Towers Fuchsia Fest 2025' well and truly open!

It's impossible to pick a favorite, how could one???? All so glorious! Thanks for sharing them. Funny enough, I always loved fuchsia because they always reminded me of the silhouette of drag queens wearing big, multi-tiered gowns.!
ReplyDeleteFuchsias are the Drag Queens of the Flower World.
DeleteFuchsias are, and have always been, my favourite flower! By heavens, we have amassed a varied collection - and there's always an opportunity to get some more varieties come Spring... Jx
ReplyDeleteI think we need to replace some old favourites that we have lost and of course add a few newbies for 2026.
DeleteSchöne Blüten.
ReplyDeleteUnd ein Champagner-Toast auf euch beide, dich und Donnie :) 🥂

Thank you dear.
DeleteDonny does like a glass of Champagne and I think we all deserve one.
Prost.
Fuchsias really are remarkable plants, aren't they?! They're all lovely, but some standouts for me are: Celia Smedley (I love the elegant simplicity and the red colouring), Dark Eyes (the 'squashed' flower buds have a middle-Eastern quality), Millenium (because it reminds me of Blacky), and Ting a Ling (ballerinas!).
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to Donny's Garadening Year post. Cheers me Dears!
Cheers and good health to you Sir.
DeleteWe are all agreed on 'standouts' but I would add 'Devonshire' Dumpling mainly because I am a Devonshire Dumpling.
Donny is a bit behind with the ' a Year on one Page' post. A little too much champagne I fear but it should be published by Sunday.

What zone are you in the UK that you can enjoy blossoming fuchsias in December? SO LUCKY! This years are luscious! As always I am attracted to the dramatic 'Marinka', but I really can't pick out a favorite. Donny keeps directing me towards 'Tingaling' and I have to agree, that's a showy little darling.
ReplyDeleteFrankly I need to lay off the champers for awhile; Donny is starting to look good to me.
Our weather can change on a pin. Yes it has been mild but as from today the weather is coming down from the Arctic and the garden will be frozen for at least a week. No fuchsias in the January post methinks.
DeleteAs for you and Donny !!! That would need a lot of champagne.
All utterly gorgeous...but Malinka might just have stolen my heart! I seem to be over-run with hydrangeas and agapanthus, but am planning more fuschias for '26.
ReplyDeleteThank you and here's to a good year.xx
Bless you me dear. We would love to be overrun with hydrangeas and agapanthus. We have some but need more in 2026.
DeleteRoll on Spring.
