The Delargo Gardens - February

Here we are again me dears in the garden for February. I always say February is the the cruellest month. Not this year. According to my new Max/Min temperature toy we have not dipped below 0'c. +0.3'c to be exact.

Indoors the Cymbidium Orchid has come into flower which is always a great joy for us.

 The harbingers of the Spring.

 Iris reticulata

Ipheion has just started to flower and should look fab next month

Talking of next moth, 1st March is St. David's Day.

Our Daffs are all getting themselves ready for the big day.

Not many crocus this year but to be fair we didn't plant any.

Less showy by far but still attractive, Sarcococca. What it lacks in flower size it makes up for with an intense vanilla perfume.

Everything is sprouting shooting and a budding so let's have our tour of the whole estate.

As fab as the early Spring flowers are we must not forget the winter stalwarts that have given us colour in the dark months

We even have some Fuchsias in flower this is ' Just Pat'

Donny is getting excited with the coming of Spring. Meteorological spring begins on March 1, while astronomical spring starts on March 20, the day of the spring equinox.

Till then me dears it's

Ttfn from Donny

and

It's Ttfn from me.

    1. Welcome sights indeed it's been a long wet Winter. You might be a little behind us but Spring will be sprung and you will enjoy it even more after waiting that tiny bit extra.

    1. Hello dear.
Donny has been asleep for most of the winter but now that Spring has at last started to do it's magic, Donny will work his magic and help our garden to bloom.

  4. Is that a nice cup of coffee in your Wine Time Corner? Or is it, in fact, wine in disguise?

Anyway, your Cymbidium orchid is a very classy bird, and your extensive grounds are looking very neat and tidy, ready for an explosion of growth!

    1. A ha! I wondered if you would spot that. It was an early morning photo shoot so yes; it was coffee.
We love our Cymbidium but you are sadly mistaken when it comes to the gardens being neat and tidy but they are ready for an explosion of growth!
