September has been wetter and colder than the average but the salvias have found their stride but as you will see they are not always easy to photograph. My apologies to you and them.

I think readers may be able to tell that we love Salvias! Wonderful plants - most of those have been blooming since around June, and will carry on until way past Bonfire Night, I'm sure... Jx
ReplyDeleteI am sure they will until the first frosts which with a little bit of luck (here in London) that could be after Christmas. We have had Amistad in flower on New Years day.
DeleteBlumenfest !
ReplyDeleteImmer ein schöner Besuch in Ihrem wunderschönen Garten,
beschützt von Donny. :)

Thank you dear. Donny sends his love.
DeleteYou certain have quite the collection of salvia. They are generally the last thing to hold on in the garden here, usually for us till about mid November, or until the first frost, which will do them in right quick. So much color still...enjoy while it lasts!
ReplyDeleteWhen we fall in love with a plant we can become a bit obsessive. Any plant that gives colour this time of year is a joy. I just wish we had Hummingbirds to visit them like you do in your garden.
DeleteSo pretty! However, will you choose what pictures to offer up for Garden party affaire?
ReplyDeleteI am so looking forward to seeing everyone’s garden. I have seen and enjoyed a few of the Bloggerati gardens on their posts and am looking forward to the 'Infomaniac Garden Photos Event immensely.
DeletePs.
DeleteJon is and always has been in charge of the Delargo Towers submissions to the ''Infomaniac Garden Photos Event'.
It might be feeling a little sleepy, but your extensive gardens are still beautiful with many splashes of colour (thanks to those wonderful salvias and fuchsias - Celia Smedley is rather lovely). I see your taro is still going strong amongst the Top Field spiderplants.
ReplyDeleteHello dear boy. The 'ias' (the collective noun Fuchsias, Salvias and Begonias) are invaluable at this time of year and the colour that they bring is a joy.
DeleteCelia Smedley is indeed a classy bird.
I think we could actually get a crop out of the Taro but I doubt either of us would fancy eating it's roots. It is now several plants crammed into one pot Gawd know what we are going to do with it next year.
