The Delargo Gardens - April

Here we are again me lovelies with the garden in April and on time for once and it's Tulip time.

As our American Sisters would say; 'They give you a lot of bang for your buck'. All of these are crammed into just 3 pots. They are planted on different levels and as the first to flowers fade they are cleared to make space for the upcoming flowers.

In a small garden succession planting is everything. Our 'Tête-à-Tête'  daffs are over but we now have these.

I have never neglected a plant like I neglect our Auriculas but they come back every year.

Brunnera

A double flower on Doronicum 'Little Leo' Leopard's bane. How fab is that!

Ipheion

Our recently divided Geranium phaeum. We now have two.

What would Spring be without the scent of Wallflowers.

There Tiz then me darlins and now it's time to jump up into the Land-rover and tour the rest of our vast estate.

 Our two newly planted Clematis

The foxgloves are now big enough to flower and as we sowed them not last year but late the the year before we are looking forward to a good display this year.

Great news. the Taro has come through another Winter totally unprotected. It might not look like much now but just and wait and see what it will do.

The Fens are unfurling and Donny is already getting excited to see what the garden will do next month.

April Has been fab but roll on May when I think the garden will really kick off.
