The Delargo Gardens - February.

Here we are then me darlins, February is over and meteorologically speaking so is winter! The first day of Spring is the 1st of March.
But to be honest me dears the garden doesn't look much deferent than it did last month.
Having said that Spring is definitely starting to burst forth.

Always the first for us is Iris Reticulata this is 'J.S. Dijt'.

and this is Iris Reticulata Blue Note

Our tiny clump of Snowdrops are slowly increasing.

and joy of joys the daffs are out! We now mainly grow Narcissus 'Tête-à-tête' as its the only one that does well for us year on year but we do have a special that should flower next month.

Cyclamen coum is a delight every year and we never do any thing for it.

Unexpectedly Ipheion has decided to give us a single early flower.

There we are then me lovelies that is our first spring flowers and I am sure we will have a good few more to come but now its time for the tour.

Lets not forget the stalwarts who have been giving us colour through the darkest days and are still going strong as we speak.

we even had some decent Fuchsia blooms but they have all been cut back now ready for new growth

Winter is over and we have crept into Spring Horaah !

Hope to see you again next month in the garden

Till the it's

Ttfn.

  2. Will be at least a month till we burst forth with any real color here. Though we do have some tulips about to open in the pots against the house. I did bring in two geraniums this fall to winterize them. So far they don't look too bad. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. As always nice to see this and inspires so. The snowdrops are precious.

  3. Crossing my fingers for a blooming Spring! And I typed that before reading that Madds is also doing the crossed fingers thing - it's probably a global phenomenon.
